7-Eleven Day is canceled again. But you can still get a free Slurpee this July

7-Eleven has celebrated its birthday on July 11 of every year since 2002 by offering Slurpees for free to anyone who walks through the door. Last summer, as Covid-19 cases increased, the convenience retailer canceled 7-Eleven Day and dropped a coupon into the accounts of members of the 7Rewards loyalty app for a free medium Slurpee.

In preparation this year to celebrate its 94th anniversary, 7-Eleven plans to give all members of the rewards a coupon for a small free Slurpee “to prevent millions of Americans from crowding around Slurpee machines in a single day” amid the ongoing pandemic.

The coupon will expire on July 1 and can be redeemed any day in July.
