If you were hoping to see some changes at WWE product this year from a creative point of view, we have bad news for you.
According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling observer,, John Laurinaitis returns as WWE’s head of talent relations it is a sign that the company will continue with what they did creatively in the foreseeable future.
Meltzer described Laurinaitis as someone who “always has a smile for Vince McMahon.” It has been observed that Laurinaitis, like Bruce Prichard, will not challenge McMahon in terms of the company’s creative direction.

Meltzer also said McMahon surrounds himself with people telling him the WWE product is more popular than ever, making it easier to ignore the drop in TV ratings.
If you’re someone who enjoys the current WWE product just the way it is, this is too much for nothing. In fact, this might even sound like great news if you don’t want WWE to make some creative changes to the product soon.
But if you’ve been worried about WWE’s creative direction lately and were hoping for a change, it doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon.
Like it or not, the current WWE product is here to stay. With the money McMahon currently earns from various television and streaming contracts for RAW, SmackDown, and monthly billing per view, that won’t change any time soon.
