A Democratic lawmaker introduces a resolution to oust Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) From Congress.

“I believe that some of my Republican colleagues, and one in particular, want to hurt this legislative body. I’m not saying this for the amount of shock. This is the conclusion I came to after advocating a members of Congress commit violence against our peers, spokespersons, and our government, ”Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) said on Friday.

He added, “I am not happy with the introduction of this resolution, but any member who incites political violence and threatens our lives should be expelled and I will do everything I can to protect our democracy and maintain all my colleagues are safe. ”

Seventy -two House Democrats support the resolution, with no Republican support.

Twitter too made a mistake Greene’s account was suspended on Friday.

“We use a combination of technology and human analysis to implement the Twitter Rules across the service,” a spokesman for Twitter told CNBC in a statement.

They added, “In this case, our automated systems took an enforcement action on the account that was not referred. This action was reversed, and access to the account was restored.”

Greene responded to the platform, “I was just told [Twitter] I was suspended for 12 hours on ‘error,’ the same day the Dems introduced a resolution to expel me from Congress. What opportunity? The small Twitter error was not resolved until 12 hours later. [Jack Dorsey] which employee made the ‘error?’ Reply to my email, Jack. ”

The House in February voted to remove Greene from his committee assignments for his past controversial comments by vote 230-199, as IJR was previously reported. Eleven Republicans voted in support of the resolution.

Later Greene called Democrats are “morons” for their votes to remove his committee assignments.

“I woke up early this morning literally laughing at the thought of what a group of Democratic morons (+11) did for giving some like me free time,” former Greene wrote on Twitter.

He continued, “In this Democratic government, Conservative Republicans have nothing to say to the committees. Oh it’s going to be fun!”
