The Drake Bulldogs have sided with the Gonzaga Bulldogs as the last two undefeated teams in college basketball. While Gonzaga is the last undefeated team, the Drake Bulldogs have made quite a series.

The Drake Bulldogs started their campaign with 18 consecutive wins, but have lost four of the last ten games missing just for the conference title. They will have a golden opportunity for redemption on Thursday when they play on the national stage for the opportunity to play the 6th holder of the USC Trojans in the first round of the March Madness.

Key player – Joseph Yesufu

Drake Bulldogs suffered a brutal loss when star striker ShanQuan Hemphill left with an injury. Joseph Yesufu took the lead, however, leading Drake Bulldogs with 12.8 points per game.

Yesuf has made a few points for Drake Bulldogs this season, but his teammates will be hoping once again on Thursday.

The Wichita State Shockers finished with a record 11-2 in a conference game.

The Wichita State Shockers took the title in the regular season at the American Conference, but failed in the conference tournament. The Wichita State Shockers had an outstanding series at the March 2013 Madness Tournament, entering their second Final Four in school history.

Now, nearly ten years after the launch of that magical Wichita state group, the 2021 Shockers have a chance to return to the tournament and potentially be overwhelmed by some upheaval. The Wichita State Shockers, however, will not be handed a dance ticket as a strong Drake Bulldogs team stands in their way.

Key player – Tyson Etienne

Leading scorer and best collaborator this season was Tyson Etienne, the keeper of the second year. 6 ‘2 “Etienne averaged 17.2 points per game, but most of the damage was done from the outside.

Etienne hit an impressive 39.3% from a three-point range this year, turning almost twice as many threes as any of his Wichita teammates. With an appearance in a tournament that is just one win away, the Wichita State Shockers are likely to believe Tyson Etienne in the spark against Drake Bulldogs.

Drake Bulldogs – Wichita State Prediction

This matchup, much like the other three play-in games, should be very close.

The Wichita State Shockers surprised the American Conference with theirs regular season title, but failed to maintain momentum in the conference tournament.

Drake Bulldogs also suffered a similar fate, but it seems to be a stronger team in this match. In Joseph Yesufu, the Bulldogs should have the advantage and look like favorites to advance to the first round of the March Madness.
