If you’re tired of using the same phone every day and have a special interest in nostalgia, or if you’re teaching your child good phone etiquette when talking to family and friends, the bill. For decades, Fisher-Price’s Chatter Telephone could only talk to virtual friends, but that’s no longer the case.
As reported by Engadget, the company created a special edition Chatter to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic popular product, turning Chatter into a device that can actually be used for phone calls. A true technology rather than a toy, the reimagined Chatter can be used to make and receive calls via Bluetooth with your favorite Android device. It also works on iOS. If you need something more persuasive, check out the super cool trailer that Fisher-Price made together…
Surprisingly, if you use the rotary dial to enter your phone number, you can use your device like a retro phone. The handheld receiver acts as a speaker and microphone, allowing you to talk for nine hours as long as Chatter is connected to a smartphone or tablet with calling capabilities. It’s not the fully functional home phone every kid big or small dreams of, but it’s closer than ever, while visually identical to the more modern Chatter design. All in all, it’s a great way to celebrate anniversaries.
