Forza Horizon 5 December update patch notes: Full list of changes revealed

Update as of December 3, 2021 Forza Horizon 5 has brought a great deal of change, from over 20 new cars to major bug fixes.

Developed by Playground Games and released by Xbox, the latest entry from Xbox’s flagship racing franchise is essentially the best racing game of 2021. The game takes players into the vast and diverse open world of Mexico, with many different cruise cars.

December update from Forza Horizon 5 brings many updates and bug fixes. Let’s take a look at the patch notes.

Game stability updates and fixes in Forza Horizon 5

  • Various stability fixes
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when loading Chapter 6 into Born Fast Horizon Story
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when playing Canyon Expedition again
  • Fixed the soft lock that could have happened during the Baja expedition

Multi-player updates and fixes for Forza Horizon 5

  • Improvements to the problem where convoy members and other players may disappear
  • Horizon Open – Reduced the number of races in Open Racing events before changing cars, from 5 to 3
  • Horizon Open – Goliath removed from the pool to prevent a long wait for the race to end
  • The Horizon Open – Street Race routes will now be night
  • Horizon Open – Removed S2 Cross Country races from rotation
  • Horizon Open – Fixed problem with HUD scoring in Open Drifting
  • Eliminator – Random car fall position Eliminator
  • Resolved an issue where searching for a convoy via ‘Find a Convoy’ could result in an infinite load
  • Convoy leaders who accept the Forza LINK call now accept the entire convoy
  • The convoy icon on the player tag on the map has been updated to make it more readable
  • Horizon Arcade – The target score is now measured by the number of participants

  • Resolved an issue where the pause menu could display two tabs at once when you change the focus from the game and undo the pause using the controller
  • Fixed an issue that caused mouse input to be ignored on the Horizon Story Post Race Stars screen
  • It has been stopped that the mouse can move the camera during the film before the race
  • Resolved an issue that caused a low video memory warning to be displayed incorrectly on AMD Renoir
  • Fixed an issue in Forza Horizon 5 where working at 3440×1440 would cause colorcaliper graphic artifacts at the edge of the screen

Commends for updates and fixes in Forza Horizon 5

  • Fixed an issue in Forza Horizon 5 where some completed recognitions could return to incomplete
  • Fixed issue in Forza Horizon 5 with non-unlockable statue photos in the El Camino story
  • Fixed an issue in Forza Horizon 5 where the recognition for the shortcut in the last chapter of the Lucha De Carreteras story was not unlocked
  • Fixed “Raised in the Desert” which does not require the player to be in a particular car
  • Corrected description of “Unlimited Power” which says Unlimited Off-road instead of Extreme Off-road
  • Fixed “Ready, Set, Go!” unlock if a player loses a race
  • Some awards that could become incomplete have been removed, which is why the player had to complete a PR stunt in a certain car

  • Fixed “Ford of the Wings” where the target would not appear when hooked
  • Resolved an issue where “Monster Destroyer” would not complete if a player wins after a restart

  • Fixed issue in Forza Horizon 5 with “Unbeatable Dirt Racing” recognition that miscounted progress

  • Updated “Don’t Break It, Not Much Left” recognition to help players be informed of the danger signs they need to meet

Super7 updates and fixes in Forza Horizon 5

  • The Super7 second pre-event screen now displays title and description instead of creator and description
  • Fixed an issue in Super7 where players can experience a long load if they create a challenge away from the road
  • Resolved issue where Super7 challenge props were not loaded after release
  • Resolved an issue where a player could stop getting new Super7 challenges
  • The wrong VO line has been removed from playback when you return to Freeroam from Super7

  • Fixed an issue in Forza Horizon 5 where seasonal PR Stunts would state that 1mph / 1ft / 1m more is needed despite meeting completion criteria
  • EventLab – The props will now appear as the color variant selected before setup
  • Some erroneous props present at the stadium when creating EventLab events have been removed
  • Fixed an issue in Forza Horizon 5 where players could not see their own events in the event draft menu
  • Changed the variable “Place” in the Rules of the Game to “Rank” to be more representative
  • Resolved an issue in Blueprint Builder where the propa icon did not appear
  • Changed the guide flow for Forza LINK to avoid player jams with custom control folders
  • Added delay in moving too long Forza LINK phrase for readability
  • Resolved issue with Forza LINK when sending “Follow me” in response to a request to find a barn that does not set a route
  • Rewinding during playback may cause the game to ignore the offline speed accessibility setting

  • Resolved an issue where a player would appear in the wrong location when playing Expeditions again
  • An additional accessibility option to advance Horizon Stories without completing the next challenges
