The next update of Genshin Impact is likely to arrive in late July, but beta testers are already revealing an abundance of upcoming content.
Genshin Impact is currently in version 1.6, but the next update should be significant, which will probably be called version 2.0. Recently, beta testers discovered a recent patch for game files before the next update.
This article therefore covers the beta update, as well as some recent leaks concerning the upcoming Pyro port user – Yoimiya.
The 9 GB update arrives in the beta version of Genshin Impact 2.0
A new patch has been added to the Genshin Impact 2.0 beta, implementing a 9.3 GB update.
Nine gigabytes is not a small amount to update. However, this number does not only reflect new content or improvements. As the popular Leaker Dimbreath explains, many Genshin Impact files have been renamed, which is why it caused such a major update.
The size of the Genshin Impact 2.0 beta has certainly increased, but only by about 1.5 GB. Aside from changing the file name, the exact details of the patch are not yet known. If new content is added to the 2.0 beta, new leaks will soon appear regarding the next version of Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact leaks reveal Yoimiya’s elemental bang
The leaked videos feature Yoimiyu, an upcoming character in Genshin Impact, performing his elemental abilities.
Yoimi’s burst of elements, called Ryukin Saxifrage, launches an animation in which he jumps into the air with fireworks. With this ability it inflicts damage to AoE Pyro, and the enemy is also marked by “Aurous Blaze” for up to 10 seconds.
When an enemy is marked with an Aurous Blaze, anyone other than Yoimiye will cause explosions by hitting them. Characters can create this effect every two seconds using any attack or elemental ability that hits the enemy.
Aurous Blaze is also somewhat contagious. When a marked enemy is defeated, the status will inflict another enemy near the end of the capability.
Since Yoimiya alone can’t trigger these explosions, most players will implement this part of her sub-DPS kit. Yoimiya may not be the main damage divider, but it can inflict solid damage even while the main DPS option is in play.
Yoimiya gets constellation fans in Genshin Impact
According to the data leak, Joimi’s constellations were overrun before her final debut.
Reliable database of Genshin Impact, Honey Impact, tracking and reports leaked data about the characters in the game and more. In Honey Impact, two of Jojima’s constellations are arranged to significantly improve her Elementary Skill.
Joimi’s elementary skill
After using her Elemental skill, Yoimiya’s usual attacks will deal Pyro damage for 10 seconds. These “Flaming Arrows” will cause increased damage.
This ability has only one minor limitation. Yoimiya’s attacks usually create “Kindling Arrows” if they are charged long enough. These arrows automatically target nearby enemies and deal Pyro damage.
Kindling arrows are not an option for the duration of Yoimiya’s Elementary Skill. However, players should generally use this ability for rapid Pyro infusion and elemental reactions. Therefore, the use of charged attacks during her Elementary Skill is not recommended anyway.
Yoimiya’s new effects C4 and C6
Earlier, the leaks predicted that Yoimi’s fourth constellation would reduce the renewal of her Elemental Skill by one second. Now that time has been increased to 1.2 seconds.
Furthermore, Yoimiya’s sixth constellation should give her normal attacks a 50% chance of firing an extra Flame Arrow while her Elemental Skill is active. Leaks originally expected a 40% chance to trigger this effect, but it looks like Yoimiya players will cause even more Pyro damage than expected.
Honey Impact suggests that the damage from additional arrows has also increased. They predict that additional Blazing Arrows C6 Yoimiya will inflict 60% damage from the original attack, while they originally expected only 50%.
