‘Insane’: DeSantis Swats Down Biden’s Suggestion To Potentially Reinstate COVID Restrictions

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) assassins the President Joe Biden’s suggestion that the United States may need to reinstate restrictions on COVID-19.

“Biden said last night that they may need to impose more lockdown type policies in the future. I can tell you, that’s not happening in Florida. We’re not going to allow him to lock down Florida,” DeSantis said in a press conference on Friday.

He added, “To also think about doing any kind of lockdown, is actually insane, and so that won’t happen in the state of Florida… We will continue to do what works, but in any case we will not be entertained anything of a kind. “

The President warned in his first address since he took office, “If we don’t say vigilant and conditions have changed, we may need to reinstate restrictions to get back on track.”

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last month, DeSantis praised his own leadership amid the pandemic, as IJR was previously reported.

“Florida got it right and the lockdown states went wrong,” DeSantis said.

At his address, Biden promised “He won’t give up until we defeat this virus.” He urged Americans to “do their part.”

The president continued, “I need to get you vaccinated when you have the time and if you can find an opportunity, and to help your family, your friends, your neighbors get vaccinated as well.”

Biden suggested the Fourth of July, “There’s a good chance you, your families and friends, will be together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cooking or a barbecue and celebrate Christmas Day. Freedom. ”

He explained that it doesn’t mean “big events that get a lot of people together” but means “small groups get together.”

Biden din said he directed every state to make the vaccine available to all Americans by May 1st.
