Since her debut in Episode 1, Act 2, Killjoy has become one of Valorant’s favorite fans. Her basic abilities are Alarmbot and Nanoswarm, while her signature and ultimate abilities are dome and locking.
Killjoy is pretty versatile in taking care of backstabs and strategic flanks in the game.
However, it turned out that a recently discovered error caused problems if the player tried to recall the alarm system and the dome at the same time. Doing so in Valorant can lead to some unforeseen consequences.
A killjoy bug can cause players to lose their alarm in Valorant
A Reddit user in / Invalink discovered the error in question. He posted a video on the suborder r / VALORANT, and soon attracted the attention of everyone in the community.
In the video, u / Invalink sets the dome and alarm alarm on the spawn of the Ascent map bumper. Then the player tries to recall the turret and the alarm by simultaneously pressing Q and E. Although the turret returns and enters the cooldown as expected, the alarm does not.
Furthermore, whenever a player tried to revoke the alarm bot, he failed and repeated the voice line “No charging”.
This error can basically cause Killjoy players to lose their alarm.
Community members also discussed another bug in which the cooling of the dome will not end and will be lost forever.
The Killjoy dome can get stuck in a cooling loop in Valorant
Redditor in / freeman231 discovered a killjoy turret error in the comments section of the post in / Invalink.
A mistake can basically cause the dome to get stuck in the cooldown, making it useless throughout the circle.
Redditor in / TheYellowLatern explained the circumstances of starting the above mentioned error as:
If you try to remember while planting, it does, and it happened to me at the beginning of the round, I think I remember that and the round that starts at the same time, I’m not sure.
Redditors in / beautify and in / Revolution-Key107 mentioned that the bug in question could also be triggered when Killjoy tries to recall the dome after Sage resurrected her in the game.
Mistakes can seem small at first glance, but can cause major problems during a tense round. We hope that these errors will be corrected with the upcoming Valorant patch.
