Roberts joined AEW back in March 2020 as Lance Archer’s manager. His original contract was for ten weeks, but was later extended to An interview with a longtime friend Diamond Dallas Page, Jake Roberts expressed his gratitude to AEW fans for making him feel loved. He also deserved Tony Khan for restoring his love of wrestling and sharing the news of his contract extension.
“To go out in the ring after 22 years of absence and slam that Cody promotion [Rhodes’] throat, I remember looking him in the eye and he said, ‘Where am I?’ Roberts said. And to feel the love of all these people, man because she was loud. It was loud and let me know how much they loved me and inspired me to stay at AEW, and thanks to Tony Khan, when I originally signed with them, it was a ten-week contract.
“And then just a few weeks ago I rang Tony, I said,‘ Hey, I have four weeks left, ’” Roberts continued. “‘What do you want from me? I need a notice so I can start posting my stuff,’ and he says, ‘We need to sign another paper.’ “And I signed again and then, after I signed it, I found out that it wasn’t a year, but more than a year, but two years.”H / T: Post wrestling)
Jake Roberts’ client Lance Archer takes over Jon Moxley at AEW Fyter Fest Night Two
Lance Archer and Jon Moxley competed in the classic Texas Deathmatch at Wrestle Kingdom 14, and will repeat that tonight at the AEW Dynamite; Archer will fight for Moxley’s IWGP United States Championship.
This exciting rematch will take place at AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest Night Two, and Archer will hopefully win the match and take home the first title of his AEW career.
