Juventus director gives crucial update on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future

Juventus director Fabio Paratici gave a positive update about Cristiano Ronaldo the future. The Portuguese star has been linked with leaving Turin for the summer, but now he seems ready to extend his stay at the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 and continued his great goal-scoring form in Italy. However, the Portuguese mascot has failed to inspire the Bianconeri in the UEFA Champions League since his arrival. The Serie A giants have been fighting for progress after the quarterfinals of the competition in the last three seasons, to the great frustration of the fans as well as the player himself.

It was originally announced that the Portuguese plans to part with the Serie A giant at the end of this season. It was believed that a return to Real Madrid was also on the cards. However, Paratici has now only confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be a Juventus player over the summer as well.

I’m talking to Sky Sports, the Juventus director has shed light on rumors linking the Portuguese to Real Madrid, arguing that it is a privilege to have Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin.

“Cristiano will be the future of Juventus, absolutely. I’m sure of it. It is a privilege to have Cristian. We enjoy it and we are very happy to have this kind of champion with us “, said Paratići.

The arrival of the Portuguese threw Juventus into the center of attention, helping the club gain millions of followers overnight. However, it was also recently announced that the Bianconeri are struggling to afford Cristiano Ronaldo’s astronomical salaries and are ready to end their association with the superstar for the summer.

Paratic’s comments will largely shatter those rumors, and will also bring much-needed relief to fans.

The Bianconeri have been fighting for form this season and are already ten points behind the leading Serie A, Milan’s Inter. Juventus also came out of the UEFA Champions League in the round of 16, to the great frustration of Cristiano Ronaldo, who was once again set on fire for the Serie A giants this season.

The Portuguese has scored 95 goals from 122 games for Juventus so far. Cristiano Ronaldo already has 30 goals from 33 games this campaign, including another great hat-trick against Cagliari this weekend.

The legendary striker looks set to enjoy his finest season with the Bianconeri and will strive for a strong end to the season in the coming weeks.
