Lauren Boebert takes grotesque jab at Alec Baldwin over tragic movie set accident

[ad_1]
Last night, a heartbreaking accident occurred on the set of Alec Baldwin’s new film, Rust. That’s a prop gun apparently loaded with live ammunition ended up in his hand, killing dear director of photography Halyna Hutchins and assaulting director Joel Souza. While there are certainly many questions that need to be answered – why did Baldwin “inspect” the gun? why a non-union prop master used? – This idea is anything but a strange tragedy and a gruesome reminder of how dangerous guns are, regardless of the situation.
Unfortunately, many on the right respond with despicable displays of joy and ridicule, overjoyed at the idea of the misfortune that will befall the person who mocks their Great Leader in Saturday Night Live. Hurrying to get cheap shots without any regard for Hutchins, who leaves a young child, the worst man in American politics once again jumped at the chance to show how little they view human life.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), who doesn’t exactly have the best track record of her own when it comes to gun safety (o food safety for that matter), took to Twitter and taunted Baldwin by digging up an old tweet of his saying he would make yellow T-shirts with the words “My hands are up. Please don’t shoot me. ”
Judgment of horrific racism of the 2014-era responses, it appears the tweet was made in reference to the murder of Black Americans.
.@AlecBaldwin are they still available?

Boebert immediately ignited a tidal wave of disgust and condemnation from civilized society:
It’s disgusting. A woman is dead. beyond anxiety for an elected official to joke about it. https://t.co/4QAqyRtH5X

You really have to be the most annoying, heartless, shittiest reason for someone to use a tragic accident that cost a girl her life, to try to break a joke on @AlecBaldwinthe cost. https://t.co/ZddmfIS0XB

A member of Congress is using his taxpayer-funded salary to dig up seven-year-old tweets to troll a man he has never met in what is probably the worst moment of his life. “Shame” doesn’t begin to describe it. https://t.co/BKtSWsADqc

If you were to discuss your Christian faith, what about trying to have some compassion and grace in a tragedy? Don’t mind the part of the gospel that says “anything for RTs” https://t.co/uPT3djTpT7
