Marjorie Taylor Greene Posts Poll Asking if America Should ‘Have a National Divorce’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) Posted a Twitter poll asking Americans if it’s time for the country to split.

“Should America have a national divorce?” Greene tweeted on Monday.

On Wednesday, Greene again touched on the issue in a tweet.

“The horrible state of our union since Biden sat down has had a lot of people ask me about a National Divorce. ND is not a civil war like the Antifa / BLM advocacy over the past few years , it’s a civil legal process, ”Greene said.

He continued, “It’s a real issue that Americans don’t like communism.”

According to a recent poll from the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, the majority of Americans who voted for the former President Donald Trump Think red states should break away from the union, as Reported by IJR.

The survey showed that “approximately 4 in 10 (41%) of Biden and half (52%) of Trump voters somehow agree it’s time to separate the country, favoring blue / red states moving away from the union. ”

Should the country have a “national divorce”?

UVA Center for Politics Director Larry J. Sabato said the “divide between Trump and Biden voters is deep, wide, and dangerous. The scope is unprecedented, and it can’t be fixed easily.”

The Washington Post said earlier this week Biden’s approval ratings had fallen significantly in recent months. The average outlet polls since the beginning of September found 44% of Americans approved of the president’s work, compared to 49% who disagreed.

Earlier this month, Nate Cohn of The New York Times reported that Biden’s approval ratings had declined among major Democratic groups, as Reported by IJR.

According to Cohn, the ratings have “declined significantly in recent months, erasing or reversing decades -long in public opinion.”

The report asked the question of whether “that slide was a temporary sinkhole- a strike by a tough run of headlines- or a warning sign of deeper satisfaction with Democratic-leaning voters.”
