Taylor was 26 when he was shot dead in a police raid on his apartment on March 13, 2020.
The details of his assassination sparked protests across the country to demand that officers involved in the shooting be held accountable, and his case became part of a larger racial accounting movement that intensified after the death. of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, in May.
