“My wedding is supposed to be on during that time” – Glenn Maxwell uncertain over availability for Pakistan tour

Australian versatile Glenn Maxwell has acknowledged that its availability for Pakistan tour he is not sure because he will probably get married at about the same time.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Monday that the Australians will be visiting Pakistan for the full series in March 2022. This will be the country’s first trip to that Asian nation since 1998.

Describing the development as great, Maxwell admitted he wasn’t sure if he would make it to the tour. Addressing reporters, he said:

“I think it’s great that we have a tour to get back there. I think I saw that it was 1998 when we last went there. Whether I’m going there or not probably depends on my fiancée because my wedding should be included for that time. So I’m probably not the right person to ask that question. “

Maxwell and pharmacist Vini Raman were engaged in March 2020. However, their wedding had to be postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Asked if there was any chance that the wedding date would be moved again, Maxwell answered with a resounding “no”. He explained:

“No way. We’ve already moved it a few times so I think that’s it.”

Australia will play three Tests, three ODIs and one T20I in Pakistan during their upcoming tour.

I was in a really good space so I hope that (I didn’t ) needed again or I hope I will need another zero and not out and I will just stay on the other end. ”

“Cricket Australia is excited about the possibility of touring Pakistan next year for what will be a long-awaited series in a country that is so incredibly passionate about the game and its national team.” Nick Hockley, CEO of Cricket Australia 🇦🇺
