Although the NFL exchange deadline for the 2021 NFL season expired yesterday afternoon, that doesn’t mean the Cleveland Browns / Odell Beckham Jr. the situation will soon calm down.
Beckham was bought by the Cleveland Browns in March 2019 from the New York Giants and could not meet the expectations set for him. In 2019, Beckham barely crossed the 1,000-yard income line, and in 2020, he suffered a torn ACL in Week 7.
Since making his debut in the 2021 season, Beckham has yet to score and has just over 200 yards.
While there were rumors yes Odell Beckham Jr. was to be exchanged, the Browns continued to speak differently, but by Wednesday afternoon, the situation had reversed.
What happened to Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr.?
Odell Beckham Jr. is said to have. dissatisfied with his production since his return in the 3rd week of this season. Even with the absence of colleague Jarvis Landry, Beckham did not impress and played sloppy football.
There were rumors that he and quarterback Baker Mayfield didn’t necessarily have to agree ‘face to face’ and that seemed to be true on Tuesday afternoon. Beckham’s father posted a video of Brown’s weekly defeat by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Instagram.
Odell Beckham Sr. proved that his son was open several times during the game at that Mayfield only he didn’t throw it at him.
Also on Tuesday afternoon, Cleveland NBA champion and superfan LeBron James said on Twitter that Odell Beckham Jr. still has a lot ahead of him and that the Browns should ‘release’ him.
But things seemed to get worse. Odell Beckham Jr. was reportedly asked not to attend the Browns’ scheduled training on Wednesday. He was considered a justified absence and his agent and Browns ’front office appear to have had some sort of discussion about the“ next step ”.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, who said earlier this week that Beckham’s lack of production was his fault, reportedly told his team that Vader is not currently a member of the team.
