Oklahoma Diner Customers Say They Will Not Get the Vaccine Even With Trump’s Endorsement of It

Customers at a restaurant in Oklahoma say they don’t want to get the COVID-19 vaccine even though former President Donald Trump they are being encouraged.

CNN’s Gary Tuchman asked diners if Trump was “firm and told to take it” they would. One diner replied, “No.”

Another chimed in, “Trump is a liberal New Yorker. Why should we listen to him?”

Tuchman asked the diner if he voted for Trump, he laughed and said, “He’s the best choice.”

Earlier when the CNN reporter entered the diner, he asked, “Did anyone at this restaurant think it was a good idea to get vaccinated?” He asked them to raise their hands if they thought it was a good idea.

No diners raised their hands.

One diner told CNN he couldn’t get the vaccine because he didn’t “trust the government” or the President Joe Biden.

Another diner expressed concern about getting sick with COVID-19 through the vaccine, “When I take a flu shot I often get sick with the flu so there’s no reason to take it,” adding, “most likely” he will get sick with COVID-19 through the vaccine.

One woman explained that she was skeptical about the vaccine because “they just started releasing them.”

Trump in Tuesday night’s interview with Fox News encouraged Americans to be vaccinated, such as Reported by IJR.

“I recommend it, and I recommend it to a lot of people who don’t want to get it, and a lot of people voted for me, honestly,” the former president said.

He added, “But, you know, again, we have freedoms, and we have to live there, and I agree with that, too.”

Trump called the vaccine “excellent” and “safe.”

An adviser confirmed Trump and First Lady Melania Trump vaccinated in January at the White House and have since received their second dose, as Reported by IJR.
