NEW YORK and STAMFORD, CT, August 19, 2021 – Major League Baseball and WWE today announced a multi-year partnership to create replicas of WWE championships in the spirit of MLB and accessories with logos from all 30 MLB clubs across North America. The new line of products will launch in 2022 and this will mark the first time these products will be available to fans. This is the first formal licensing agreement for replica WWE Championship titles between WWE and a major US sports league.

As part of the agreement, MLB and WWE will collaborate on the design and production of team-branded replicas, as well as replicas dedicated to selected Jewel League events such as the World Series, All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. In addition, custom side plates and unique Lucha Libre masks will be created on both sides.

“At MLB, we continually strive to offer our fans the most unique products so they can support their favorite clubs and players the way they want,” said Denis Nolan, MLB Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products. “We often see fans and baseball players joining their MLB and WWE fans in games and online, so it’s a natural progression for us to work together and offer high quality official co-branded merchandise to fans around the world.”

“We are continually amazed at the response to WWE Specialty Championship belts, and we are delighted that this partnership will enable us to make them widely available to fans,” said Kevin Moore, WWE Senior Vice President of Direct Consumers. Products.

WWE has a long tradition of making its own replica of WWE championships as gifts to many of the top athletes and championship-winning franchises around the world. More recently, WWE created a title inspired by the Los Angeles Dodgers to commemorate their victory in the 2020 World Series, as well as a title inspired by Washington for winning the 2019 World Series.
