  • Qualcomm is developing a new mid-range Arm based chipset for laptops.
  • The chipset will be the successor to the Snapdragon 7c.

After the news New flagship chipset Last week, Qualcomm reportedly was developing a successor to the Snapdragon 7c, a mid-range Arm-based PC chipset, to support cheaper hardware. Party WinFuture, There are internal model numbers that are likely to be added to the series. SC7295.

The publication is silicon Snapdragon 775 Chips for smartphones not yet released Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite. The leaked Snapdragon 775 spec points to the 5nm manufacturing process, mmWave 5G support, and LPDDR5 RAM support.

When it comes to hardware details, the chip doesn’t adopt all the same performance core layouts as the rumored Snapdragon 8cx successor. The chipset features a total of 8 cores, and the 4 fulling low power handling obligations are clocked at 1.8 GHz. There is also one pure performance core clocked at 2.7GHz. The remaining 3 cores have a clock speed of 2.4 GHz.

This layout is still different from the original Snapdragon 7c. It boasts two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz. The new chipset should provide significant processing power compared to the old chipset.

Since there is no mention of hardware testing, I know very little about what device Qualcomm will power. But considering that the Snapdragon 7c was found on devices like Chromebooks, the new chip is likely to be used in similar applications.
