President Joe Biden appeared to take a swipe at the former President Donald Trump on his first visit to the headquarters of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) since taking office.

“Science is back. Everyone joking, think about it. For the longest time, not only has it been associated with the CDC, but science … science has been used as sort of an appendage to anything we’re talking about but it comes back, ”Biden said Friday.

He added, “The public thanks you because it is about science. That’s what they understand. They understand. And we will not go back to the old days, even tomorrow the whole administration will change. I think you changed things. You changed them in a way that would make everyone healthier in this country. ”

Biden suggested that the CDC is “ready to address” a crisis because “you speak truth and science to power.”

His comments seem to refer to the former president failure to heed the warnings of public health officials amid the raging COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. said. Deborah Birx Recently reflected on the moment Trump proposed potentially using a disinfectant to treat COVID-19, as Reported by IJR.

“Honestly, I didn’t know how to handle that episode,” Birx said during ABC’s “The Breakdown” on Monday. “I still think about it every day.”

He added, “You can see how very comfortable I am. Those of you who have served in the military know that there are discussions you do privately with your commanding officers and there are discussions you do in public.”

In a phone call interview Tuesday night on Fox News, Trump advised Americans to get vaccinated, as Reported by IJR.

“I recommend it, and I recommend it to a lot of people who don’t want to get it, and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly,” Trump said.

He added, “But, you know, again, we have freedoms, and we have to live there, and I agree with that, too.”
