The game will see the contrast of the defenders: Jalen Hurts, a young, mobile quarterback against Tom Brady, a steady, pocket passer who is the oldest quarterback to ever start the game. Both teams are coming to victories, but while the Buccaneers are hoping to extend the winning streak, the Eagles are hoping to return to 0.500 after a negative start to the season.
Check out the injury report and starting lineup for Thursday’s game.
Injury report Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Philadelphia Eagles
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers will be missing some important players for Thursday’s game against the Eagles. Rob Gronkowski will miss his third game in a row as he faces some internal injuries after a big goal suffered during Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Security Antoine Winfield Jr. is still recovering from a concussion protocol and, although he has almost returned completely healthy, Thursday’s return still feels like some kind of reach for the second-year player.
Linebacker Lavonte David will also be an important player to miss the competition, and this is what can change the game in favor of the Eagles. The Buccaneers need every player to defend the pass, as well they are vulnerable in their high school with so many injuries sustained during the first weeks.
Most of the “eagles” players are healthy and should be available for the game on Thursday against the current champion. There are only two confirmed absences.
Successful Dallas Goedert entered the COVID-19 reserve list on Monday. He was vaccinated, so he had to have a negative test twice in a 24-hour period in order to play. The Eagles turned him off.
Right-wing player Lane Johnson is still absent due to a personal matter. It is not clear whether he will play in 2021 or not.
