The best moveset for Tyranitar in Pokemon GO

No player in Pokemon GO can ever make the mistake of investing in Tyrant because of its strength, usefulness, and sheer strength.

Originally from the Johto region, Tyranitar is partly a rock and partly a dark type of behemoth pseudo-legendary. It is one of the strongest Pokemon in the main series and in Pokemon GO. In the latter he has an enviable 251 attack statistics, and with a respectable defense he poses a threat to be reckoned with. Any coach can put these moves on Tyranitar and be successful in Raids, PvP and almost all other game modes.

First of all, Tyranitar got huge profits with the Elite technical machine for Smack Down. With 16 Powers, this is one of the most noxious moves in all Pokemon GOs. Given the fact that there is also a STAB, because the Tyrant is a Rock-type, this move accumulates damage really quickly.

To launch a charge to teach the Tyrant, no mind should be Stone Edge. It’s the best rock move in the game, and on one of the strongest Pokemon in the game it will be a big advantage. This move achieves a DPS of 52.2 DPS from Tyranitar, which compares well to other powerful charging moves in the game. Charizard and Shadow Moltres will no longer have a problem with this move.

There are several options for the Tyrant’s second move, but Crunch is the most effective choice. It has only 70 powers, but it only needs 33 energies to activate. This means that in neutral duels in which the Tyrant needs a strong move to finish off the enemy, Crunch should reload quickly. The move specifically brings 26.3 DPS from Tyranitar.

Tyranitar also gets access to Fire Blast, and while this may be an interesting option, it’s not as reliable as Crunch. The value Tyranitar gets from Fire Blast is that it can handle Steel-type Pokemon. However, the problem is that charging will take forever. So if Tyranitar is ahead of, say, Registeel, he’ll do a ton of damage with Fire Blast, but he may not survive long enough to take advantage of it. In these cases, it is better to simply switch to a more suitable Pokemon.
