The Michigan governor apologizes for violating state public health protocols Covid-19

“Throughout the pandemic, I pledged to follow public health protocols. On Saturday I went with friends to a local restaurant. As more people arrived, the tables came together. Since we were all vaccinated, no we stopped to think about it, ”Whitmer said in a statement Sunday. “In retrospect, I should have thought of it. I’m human. I made a mistake and I apologize.”

Apologies occur as states lift restrictions decreased coronavirus cases and as more Americans continue to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
On May 15, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued a health order which read: “Meetings are prohibited in food service establishments, whether indoor or outdoor, unless: the consumption of food or beverages is only allowed in a designated dining area where customers are seated, groups of customers are at least 6 feet apart, no more than 6 patterns sitting together (on a table, stand or group of fixed seats) and pattern groups are not mixed. “
Less than a week later, Whitmer announced the “MI Vacc to Normal” plan that raises capacity limits for outdoor events and raises indoor capacity limits to 50% on June 1 and states that the limits will be removed on July 1 of capacity for indoor and outdoor meetings. Whitmer has also eased several restrictions on meetings, abilities and facial masks over the past week.

The photo, initially posted on Facebook, was picked up by Breitbart, who reported that the photo has been removed from social media.

Whitmer, who faced public control over home stay orders at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, he is not the only lawmaker who has been criticized after violating public health orders.
Newsom, whom he faces remember efforts, apologized attending a birthday dinner in French Laundry, Napa Valley, in November, when he encouraged Californians to avoid large social gatherings and wear masks. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat who does extended mask port requirements for members of Congress, they faced criticism late last year getting her hair combed inside a San Francisco hairdresser, a violation of the city’s Covid-19 restrictions at the time.
