Chennai Super Kings batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad looked in good shape as he hit the nets for the IPL franchise. CSK shared a video of a young man hitting the nets in front of him IPL 2021.

CSK is sharing videos of its players training hard for the upcoming season on their social media accounts. In recent days, the franchise has carried clips of skipper MS Dhoni and veteran batsman Suresh Rain in practice.

On Thursday, while sharing a video of Ruturaj Gaikwad hitting in full swing in the nets, CSK wrote the headline:

“Celebration of the Lion of Pune in his own Basha! Amcha divas zingaat banavala, Amacha #RocketRaja !! #WistlePodu #Yellove. ”

The video was accompanied by the superhit Marathi song Zingaat.

The Chennai Super Kings are working hard to get things back on track after the disappointing IPL 2020.

They finished last season in seventh position with 12 points – six wins and eight losses. It was the first time they had failed to qualify for the playoffs in the T20 league.

On the eve of the upcoming season, CSK bought the versatile English Moeen Ali for INR 7 crore to strengthen their team.

They also bought Krishnapp Gowtham for an exorbitant INR of 9.25 crore, making the spinner the most expensive unlimited Indian purchase ever.

The franchise further selected a testing expert, Cheteshwar Pujar, for its base price of 50 GEL.

Ruturaj Gaikwad among several positive sides for CSK in the boring IPL 2020 campaign

24-year-old Ruturaj Gaikwad was among the few great sparks for the Chennai Super Kings in the otherwise disappointing IPL 2020 campaign.

The tournament did not start well for the striker, as he was among the CSK players who tested COVID-19 positively.

When given the opportunity to debut, he had the worst possible start – an out for the first duck. Another low score saw him fall from XI.

However, with Shane Watson fighting for consistency and the franchise in a shocking loss, CSK decided to give Ruturaj Gaikwad another chance.

This time he grabbed the opportunity with both hands and recorded three consecutive fifty plus results.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored an undefeated 65 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the win won. He continued with 72 against KKR in a six-time win.

The youngster signed in the tournament with an undefeated 62 to help CSK to nine wins over the Punjab Kings.

With his consistent appearances in the IPL 2020, Ruturaj Gaikwad became the first record-breaking Indian to score three consecutive 50s in league history.
