Isaiah “Swerve” Scott def. Leon Ruff in a Falls Count Anywhere match
With a thorny issue escalating week after week in front of the NXT Universe, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Leon Ruff raised the ante with befitting brutality while battling at Capitol Wrestling Center. Ruff plunged deep into his bag of tricks, unleashing a crucifix avalanche and poisoned apron wound outward, and even hit Swerve with a toolbox. But Scott got help from former NFL defender and WWE Performance Center rookie AJ Francis, who caught Ruff an hour before he brutally dumped him. By then, the victory at “Swerve” was academic after JML Driver, and he left accompanied by Francis, Ashante “You” Adonis and Briana Brandi.
Cameron Grimes def. Asher Hale
The tech savage withstood the onslaught of upstart Asher Hale by taking over the Cave-In business.
Tommaso Champa and Timothy Thatcher def. Gray-haired young veterans
This team competition was as tough as expected, although no punch was harder than Timothy Thatcher hitting Zach Gibson in the head with Wade Barrett’s stray shoes. He was followed by the “Professor of Pain” with a fujiwara armband, forcing Gibson to knock.
Carrion Cross fell out with Finn Balor, Kyle O’Reilly and Pete Dunn; Cross was later ambushed by Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory.
Kyle O’Reilly faced NXT champion Carrion Cross fearlessly, but they were soon joined by Pete Dunn and former NXT champion Finn Balor, who were all trying to find a potential fight against Cross. The situation quickly escalated into an all-out brawl, which ended with Cross standing right before being attacked by Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory, who left him idle a week before Cross confronted Theory.
Sarray def. Zaida Ramier
The Sun Warrior hit the NXT Universe again in his second duel on the black and gold brand, crushing Zaida Ramier with a brutal final sequence: a spinning heel kick, a German suplex, and an Exploder suplex for victory.
LA Knight def. Jake Atlas
Although he made his way to the ring with yet another boastful tirade, LA Knight backed up his speech again by removing Jake Atlas after hitting him with BFT.
Santos Escobar accepted Kushida’s challenge
With Kushida still angry over Legado del Fantasma’s vicious attack last week, NXT resident Time Splitter offered to stake his NXT heavyweight title next week, and Santos Escobar happily agreed in hopes of reclaiming the championship. Meanwhile, Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza have also claimed their rights to a potential NXT Tag Team title opportunity against MSK.
Path def. Shotzy Blackheart and Amber Moon in street brawl for the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
All four women sacrificed their bodies in hopes of coming out with gold, and Candice Leray and Indy Hartwell raised the NXT women’s team titles as new champions.
Chairs, trash cans, a coffee mug and even a fire extinguisher were used, but Shotzi Blackheart took action to new heights – literally. Daredevil Superstar climbed the ring scaffolding to hit Hartwell across the billboard.
However, later, Hartwell and Leray got the better of the chaos when Hartwell drove Amber Moon across the table with his elbow down, while Leray beat Blackheart with the Evil Step Sister in a steel chair to earn a revolutionary victory.
