Faisal Wawda declared eligible to contest Senate elections

KARACHI: The Election Tribunal (ET) has rejected the objection against the approval of Faisal Wawda’s nomination papers and declared him eligible to contest the Senate elections.

According to details, an appeal was heard in the Election Tribunal against the approval of Faisal Wawda’s nomination papers. During the hearing, the lawyer of the Federal Minister said that Faisal Wawda had renounced his US citizenship. Dismiss the objection.

The Election Tribunal rejected the objection of PPP’s Qadir Khan Mandokhel against the approval of Faisal Wawda’s nomination papers and declared him eligible to contest the Senate elections.

It may be recalled that Faisal Wawda is a candidate from Sindh for the general seat of the Senate for which the nomination papers of the PTI candidate were accepted on February 18.

Regarding dual citizenship before the RO, the Federal Minister had replied that he had renounced dual citizenship and had already submitted the papers in this regard to the Election Commission. The objections were dismissed as valid.
