Io Shirai & Zoey Stark set to challenge The Way for NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles

Despite their relative inexperience together, Io Shirai and Zoe Stark have formed a duo to be reckoned with.

Will they be able to succeed and become the new NXT Women’s Team Teams Champions at the Great American Bash NXT?

Not if The Way has something to say about it.

Shirai and Stark delivered a shock of sorts by surpassing long-standing – and former champion duos – NXT women’s champions Raquel Gonzalez, Dakota Kai and Shotzie Blackheart and Amber Moon in a high-octane Triple Threat Tag Team match to earn the opportunity.

But champions Candice Leray and Indy Hartwell have gone to great lengths to counter the upstart tandem and insist that the titles won’t go anywhere.
