Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner worked, and the duo earned themselves the opportunity to compete with Imperium at NXT WarGames for the NXT Tag Team titles.
What started as a shaky partnership between the two turned into a well-oiled machine when O’Reilly and Wagner teamed up to defeat Legado del Fantazma in the # 1 Candidates Match.
While the alliance is still relatively new, O’Reilly’s high skills and Wagner’s strength go well together for amazing results. They will face their biggest challenge in the two-time NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium.
Fabian Eichner and Marcel Bartel climbed to the top of the team division after defeating MSK at Halloween Havoc. The Imperium’s punitive style allowed them to run roughly around the locker room on their way to restore order to the square circle.
Since this is their first title defense, Imperium will try to set the tone for their reign, but can O’Reilly and Wagner make it short?
