Longtime WWE employee Rich Hering has been named a 2021 Warrior Prize Winner. Named after WWE Hall of Fame The Ultimate Warrior, The Warrior Award honors someone who has demonstrated unwavering strength and perseverance and who lives life with the courage and compassion that embodies The Ultimate Warrior’s indomitable spirit. The news was first reported by The Stamford Advocate…
As WWE’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Risk Management, Goering began his career over 50 years ago with Vince McMahon’s dad, Vincent J. McMahon, and helped the WWE grow from a regional promotion to the giant it is today. Whether it is leading safety efforts, working with state sports commissions and other organizations at WWE events, or overseeing the health and well-being of WWE talent and fans, Goering consistently goes beyond his day-to-day responsibilities.
“On behalf of all WWE employees, we are proud to present Rich Hering this incredible honor,” said Stephanie McMahon, WWE Chief Brand Director. “Rich has dedicated over half a century to WWE and the WWE Universe and has really seen and done it all. From the health and safety of WWE Superstars and employees; presiding over the wedding of Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth; and as an ‘uncle’ to Dana Warrior and her children, Matty and Indy, there is no one else who deserves this award. “
The Warrior Award will be part of the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which will air tonight exclusively on Peacock at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT in the US and WWE worldwide.
