Drew McIntyre, def. Baron Corbin
At the behest of Jinder Mahal, the increasingly oppressed Baron Corbyn invited the brand on a quarterly basis to come from SmackDown and take on Drew McIntyre in an attempt to turn his luck around.
The Scottish warrior inflicted a significant amount of punishment throughout the match and almost convinced Corbin that he felt sorry for him. It was almost the key word as McIntyre proceeded to beat Corbyn with Claymore in order to prevail and send another harsh message to Mahal.
Carrion Cross def. Jeff Hardy
After weeks of waiting, NXT champion Carrion Cross has finally gotten his rematch against “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy. Hardy started the fight, but this time the evil Cross proved to be too strong, causing Hardy to fall and pray, forcing him to submit to Cross’s jacket. The last call was not enough for the vicious NXT champion as he locked himself in another Kross jacket on Hardy to make a statement after the match.
Alexa Bliss def. Doudrop
Eva Marie brought Doodrop into the ring to finally come face to face with Aleca Bliss, but Little Miss Bliss also had someone in her corner, and that someone was Lilly. As the mental war raged, Doodrop eventually met with sinister gaze from the blissful doll, and as a result, Lilly dislodged with a mind-blowing wink, confusing Doodrop to defeat at the hands of Bliss.
Champion USA Sheamus def. Ricochet
Sheamus made sure Miz and John Morrison stayed away as the US champion hoped to bounce back in a one-on-one fight against Ricochet. As a master of aerial assault, Ricochet gave him everything he had, including an incredible crossbody on the notice table, but all it took was one big headbutt and a brog blow from a Celtic warrior to bring Shamus victory.
The celebration was short-lived for the US champion as Damian Priest made his presence felt by sending Shamus on the top rope.
Damian Priest def. John Morrison
Damian Priest was looking forward to another big win over John Morrison. America’s Moist Wanted just didn’t have enough in the tank as Priest hooked up with Reckoning to earn the win.
Bowman of Infamy witnessed Meese get out of his wheelchair and get out of the post-match dodge as quickly as possible, shocking the WWE universe, but it wasn’t enough to divert his attention from his real attention: United States Championship Match against Shamus on SummerSlam, which the Celtic warrior welcomed.
T-BAR def. Mustafa Ali
After Mansour gifted him a custom jacket to make up for their loss last week, Mustafa Ali wanted to teach his new partner a lesson by trying to beat the old one at T-BAR. Ali put up a strong fight, but the massive T-BAR showed his superiority and defeated the former leader of RETRIBUTION with a crushing knee in the face.
Immediately after the match, MACE & T-BAR hoped to deliver High Justice to Ali, but Mansour made sure that didn’t happen by fighting off the formidable duo.
Bobby Lashley said Goldberg was “ready” for SummerSlam.
The MVP was quick to clarify that he intended no evil towards Goldberg’s son, Gage, during their standoff last week that led to the massive spear from the WWE Hall of Fame. But WWE MVP and Almighty Champion Bobby Lashley put his message to Gage very clearly, stating that he shouldn’t watch what happens to his dad thanks to Almighty’s courtesy of the WWE title match at SummerSlam.
Raw Women’s Champion Nikki ESH vs. Rhea Ripley Ends Without Contest
After successfully defeating Charlotte Flair in a No-Limit match, Raw Women’s Champion Nikki Ash is aiming for another huge win over her fellow SummerSlam rival, Rhea Ripley. What unfolded was an incredibly difficult, two-way duel, which was eventually interrupted by Flair, who launched a vicious attack on both opponents.
The Queen then took the opportunity to take the Women’s Raw Championship high above her head, which means she intends to leave SummerSlam as the 12-time Women’s Champion.
Randy Orton, def. Aj styles
Randy Orton is back with a purpose, looking to regain his dominance as a solo member, leaving RK-Bro behind. His target was AJ Styles, and when Raw’s grueling main event ensued, a dejected Riddle showed up to try and regain Snake’s favor by jumping over Omos and causing Stiles to be distracted, which actually resulted in an incredible RKO and victory for Orton.
After the fight, Orton first expressed gratitude for the Primordial Bro’s help by hugging him warmly, but immediately dropped Riddle with a swift RKO out of nowhere.
