Daniel Brian’s Universal Title Claim
Following the controversial Universal Title clash on WWE Fastlane, Daniel Brian demanded a rematch, but his offer was met with Lance from Edge. Adam Pearce pondered this decision and at the end of the evening secured Brian a seat in the Universal Championship wrestle at WrestleMania against Roman Reigns and The Rated-R Superstar.
Seth Rollins, def. Shinsuke Nakamura
Seth Rollins found himself in another battle with Shinsuke Nakamura after their grueling encounter on the WWE fast lane. The Strong Style King escaped with a landslide blow, but the SmackDown Savior dodged Kinsashi’s attempt and landed Stomp to continue his crusade for respect. Cesaro rushed for reckoning, but Rollins slipped away just before Cesaro’s swing came into full swing.
Apollo Crews, Otis and Chad Gable, def. Big E & The Street Profits
Big E and the Apollo Crews brought reinforcements in the final chapter of their bitter rivalry. Street Profits provided aerial support for the Intercontinental Champion, but the strength of Otis & Chad Gable helped the team support. Aggression from the Crews led to the Big E hitting to set the stage for the WrestleMania confrontation.
Bianca Belair def. Natalia
Given the unlikely alliance, Bianca Belair was about to turn her way to WrestleMania against Natalia. During the match, WWE’s EST responded with a slap in the face of WWE Fastlane with one of her own. Belair received a crushing KOD for the win, but Banks hit Backstabber to show that the Women’s SmackDown champion is ready to do whatever it takes to hold onto her gold.
Rey Mysterio def. Dolph Ziggler
Rey and Dominic Mysterio continue their pursuit of the father-son team title, and the victory over Dolph Ziggler helped them continue their pursuit of the Dirty Dogs. A distraction from Robert Rod nearly gave Ziggler a victory when he zigzagged Mysterio up from the air. King Luchadores won the match with 619 and a huge surge to cement half of the SmackDown Tag Tag Team Champions.
