NXT Champion Carrion Cross with Scarlett’s victory. Finn Balor
Carrion Cross and Finn Balor put on an epic rematch for the NXT Universe for the NXT Universe, and both superstars have gone out of their way to claim the black and gold brand’s grand prize. The match may have been even more physical than their previous encounter, with Cross throwing Balor into the plexiglass in the ring and Prince responding moments later to Topa con Hilo, although Cross showed up shortly after launching the challenger onto the announcement table.
When the action returned to the ring, Balor dodged Cross’s gruesome elbow and even blocked the triangle on the undefeated champion, but Cross went out of line to knock Balor off with a power bomb. Cross’s second attempt at an elbow hit the target, leading to a relentless assault on Balor. Cross gave up the challenger with the Kross jacket to retain the title in a hard-hitting victory.
