NXT Breakout Tournament comes to 205 Live

Emotions will surely run high as the four rookies head off to 205 Live in a pair of NXT Breakout Tournament qualifiers.

As with the men’s and women’s team classic Dusty Rhodes Tag, 205 Live will be an exception to its typical 205 pound weight limit, with the prestigious NXT Breakout Tournament instead taking center stage.

Guru Raaj, who nearly scored an incredible victory over Finn Balor in a clash at the Superstar Spectacle in January, will face the arrogant Andre Chase. Chase recently stated that he should be considered “no. 1 seed “in the tournament.

And in a duel that is likely to feature a clash of styles, ultra-athletic Desmond Troy will take on serious brawler Joe Gacy. Troy has been seen on NXT, Raw and SmackDown, and will face Gacy for the first time in the WWE ring, although at other stops the two have coincided.

The first NXT Breakout Tournament in 2019 brought together several who have become key NXT players, including Bronson Reed, Cameron Grimes, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Dexter Loomis and many more.
