Bobby Lashley, def. Sheamus
24 hours after the grueling defeat of No Holds Barred by Drew McIntyre at WWE Fastlane, Seamus fought Bobby Lashley to open Raw. The Celtic Warrior resisted Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, who had nothing to lose and everything to win, but the Almighty won with Hurt Lock. When The Hurt Business hit Shamus after the match, Drew McIntyre burst into the ring trying to push the WWE champion into a fight.
Asuka def. Peyton Royce
Peyton Royce begged passionately for the opportunity to meet Asuka a few weeks ago at Raw Talk. The challenger almost managed to squeeze out of this with a double stab in the back of the raw women champion, but the Empress of Tomorrow gathered at Asuka’s castle to stop Royce’s relentless efforts. The real brutality ensued after the match when Rhea Ripley made her Raw debut and offered Asuka a WrestleMania challenge, which the Raw women’s champion immediately accepted.
Miz def. Jeff Hardy
Meese challenged Bud Bunny with a daring challenge to WrestleMania and then set out to prove his headlining status against Jeff Hardy. The Charismatic Enigma nearly triumphed with a streak of splashes, but The A-Lister made it to the final with a skull crush and a stunning victory. After the match, Bad Bunny delivered an amazing guitar kick to The Miz and strongly accepted his offer from WrestleMania.
Kofi Kingston def. Aj styles
A new day challenged the chemistry of AJ Styles & Omos as the two teams rushed into WrestleMania. Kofi Kingston and A.J. Styles traded joints against the former WWE champions, but when Xavier Woods lured Omos out of the ring, the Raw Tag Team champion received an SOS signal to install the badge.
Drew McIntyre, def. Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin – 1v2 Handicap Match
Fearing the presence of Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in his WWE title battle with Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre proposed to Adam Pearce to remove The Hurt Business duo from his WrestleMania match if he could beat them handicap. Match. The Scottish warrior did his best to send Alexander into orbit with the awesome Claymore to prevent the pair from entering the ring at WrestleMania.
Nia Jax and Shaina Basler def. Mandy Rose and Dana Brook
Nia Jax and Shayna Basler caught Raw’s attention with their dominance, and the addition of Reginald gave a whole new wild card to their mighty reign. Mandy Rose and Dana Brook showed flashes of hope again, but Reginald’s circus act opened the door for Samoa Drop from Jax to give the WWE Women’s Tag Team another victory.
Brown Strowman def. Elias
What Elias brings to the show may be lacking in common sense, as the artist mocked Brown Strowman’s intelligence in the pre-match issue. The Monster Among Men disagreed from the start, and the Strowman Express ended in a victory with Running Powerslam. After destroying the myth of Shane McMan’s apparent knee injury, Strowman challenged Shane O-Mac to a WrestleMania bout.
Randy Orton called the Devil
Armed with a can of gasoline, Randy Orton wanted to put an end to the Devil and Alex Bliss once and for all. Despite the RKO for the Warped Demon, Snake fell into the trap of the twisted duo when Mandible Claw and Sister Abigail left him staring at the ceiling and Bliss pointed to the WrestleMania sign to stage a dark confrontation at the Immortals Showcase. …
