Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston’s name is Bobby Lashley
The almighty champion opened Raw with a response after Drew McIntyre helped Kofi Kingston stun Bobby Lashley last week. The WWE champion’s performance was cut short and McIntyre and Kingston interrupted him as Adam Pierce scheduled a match between the former title holders to determine Lashley’s next contender.
Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston ended without competition
Drew McIntyre’s incredible strength met Kofi Kingston’s incredible athleticism in the showdown of the former WWE champions. In the title battle against Bobby Lashley, each contestant was tasked with conveying a message to the Almighty Champion. After Kingston crashed into McIntyre and Lashley outside, the WWE champion ended the match abruptly, attacking both challengers. In the midst of the chaos, Lashley left two parting gifts: Kingston hooked up with trouble in Heaven, and McIntyre landed on Claymore.
Nikki Cross def. Rhea Ripley – Win Time Trial
Nikki Cross intervened during a skirmish between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair and came to look for a match. The Queen said she could beat Cross in two minutes, but with her own set of matches left the Women’s Raw champion up to the task. The cross glowed instantly, and the brutality from Nightmare came too late to make a deal with a stunning ending.
Charlotte Flair def. Asuka
The Queen and Empress of Tomorrow are at war again as the rivalry between the two contenders for the Women’s Raw Championship has opened a new chapter. Both adorned superstars left everything on the rug with a series of near-drops that heightened the tension. While Asuka tried to lock Asuka’s castle, Charlotte Flair demonstrated impressive dexterity to turn around and turn into an overall victory. Fleur continues to demonstrate her superiority in the hope that the women’s division will once again welcome the Queen.
Cedric Alexander def. Shelton Benjamin
Cedric Alexander spared no words for Shelton Benjamin before the match, as he called his former tag teammate “washed up” and responsible for their firing from The Hurt Business. This disrespect fueled Benjamin’s anger, who responded to Alexander’s taunts with a formidable clothesline. A quick blow to the eye slowed the onslaught, and Alexander blinded the Neuralyzer to snatch victory.
Riddle def. Xavier Woods
The unlikely alliance between The New Day and RK-Bro fell apart almost as quickly as it formed, and The Original Bro set out to avenge the alleged evil for his good friend Randy Orton. Riddle and Xavier Woods exchanged crushing blows throughout the match with the leader of The New Day, able to knock out a devastating suplex from the upper cables. Using his own set of tricks, Riddle summoned his own RKO Snake to finish off Woods. Hi Randy, this is for you.
Jackson Ryker def. Aj styles
It was Jackson Riker who helped Elias orchestrate the post-match attack on A.J. Styles last week, but having a whopping insurance policy always helps. Elias was the one who stepped into the fray tonight to triumph for his bandmate, but Omos knocked the music superstar down with a crushing blow into the WWE ThunderDome video card.
Sheamus def. Umberto Carrillo
After their fight at WrestleMania Backlash was thwarted, Shamus and Umberto Carrillo continued their rivalry for the red mark. Carrillo brought the fight to the champion of the United States with his arrogant heroism, but the Celtic warrior rolled him up with a handful of tights to steal victory. As Sheamus wanted to convey another message, Ricochet rushed in to help Carrillo and renew the air attack.
Natalia and Tamina def. Shayna Basler and Nia Jax – WWE Women’s Title Match
Shayna Basler and Nia Jax were set for another flamboyant encounter with Natalia and Tamina at the WWE Women’s Team Championship and hoped to eliminate Reginald from the equation this week. Tamina and Jax were constantly grappling with each other, and Force Majeure impressively launched the title holder through the barricade. After Basler permanently banished Reginald from the ring, the flames turned to him again with Natalia, who used a major pyrotechnic distraction to curtail Basler and retain the titles.
