Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens Took Big E For Chance For Title
Having just defended his title against Drew McIntyre at the WWE Crown Jewel, WWE Big E champion started a new era of Raw, wondering who would be next in line to compete for his title.
The champion didn’t have to wait long for a response as Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens stepped out to throw their names into the ring. The conversation quickly turned into chaos, with the result that WWE spokesperson Sonia Deville set up a fateful, four-way rated match for her chance to become WWE Champion.
Dirty Dawgs got the opportunity to become Tag Team after defeating Triple Threat.
With the opportunity to fight RK-Bro for the Raw Tag Team titles, The Street Profits, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Rood and Alpha Academy battled it out in Triple Threat action. Determined to reclaim the Raw Tag Team titles, The Street Profits came out early, clearing the circle with some bombastic tandem moves.
Angelo Dawkins and Montes Ford held the upper hand throughout the match and hoped to consolidate the victory as Ford climbed the top rope before Omos entered the ring. After Omos threw Ford into the barricade and punched Dawkins with his massive right hand, Dawkins stumbled over the spinebuster and Zigzag again to stab Ziggler and Rude.
Queen Zelena def. Dowdrop after the first royal proclamation
Queen Zelena donned her crown and celebrated her coronation as the first ever Queen’s Crown Tournament champion. Addressing her subjects and detailing how she would rule, Queen Zelena invited Dudrop to the ring to prove what was happening to those who stood in her way.
Reminiscent of her match against Doodrop at the WWE Crown Jewel, Queen Zelena couldn’t match her opponent’s strength and was often thrown across the ring. Even when Queen Zelena hit Dudrop in the face with her knees, she could only get two bills. Realizing the discrepancy, Queen Zelena untied the lanyard, causing the judge to be distracted long enough for her to grab her scepter and hit Dudrop in the head to earn the victory.
Bianca Belair makes painful announcement to Becky Lynch in pursuit of Raw Women’s title
The man announced her new Women’s Raw Championship and proclaimed herself the new face of Raw and insisted that she did away with Bianca Belair. Lynch argued that it was time to give opportunity to someone new.
But The EST of WWE wasn’t done with Lynch. Belair reminded Big Time Becks that she still has a championship rematch after beating then Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and she wanted her opportunity now.
Lynch laughed at the idea and told Belair to come to the end of the line, summoning Belair, who hit the champion, tossed her across the commentator’s table and beat her with Kendo’s stick until Lynch escaped down the ramp.
Damian Priest def. T-BAR through disqualification
After his MACE teammate was selected at SmackDown, T-BAR embarked on a solo career against US Champion Damian Priest. T-BAR looked strong against the champion, grabbing the Priest and repelling a thunderous moon strike from the top rope.
Priest finally regained his composure to knock T-BAR out of the ring, where T-BAR immediately threw a chair at Priest to be disqualified. Furious with the attack, Priest flipped a switch and hit the T-BAR with a monstrous clothesline.
The US Champion devastated the T-BAR by throwing it into the ring stance before rolling it into a square circle and hitting the score.
Carmella def. Liv Morgan
Carmella and Liv Morgan added another chapter on their first night on Raw. Wearing a face shield, Carmella avoided the serious injuries Morgan tried to inflict on her face, including hitting a running bulldog on the speaker’s desk.
Luckily for Carmella, the mask absorbed most of the damage, and as Morgan rolled her enemy back into the ring, Carmella pulled herself together to put Morgan on the count to three.
Keith “Bearcat” Lee defended. Cedric Alexander
Keith “Bearcat” Lee was hurt tonight when a giant rival took down Cedric Alexander. Lee tossed Alexander like a rag doll, running over him like a freight train before planting a giant powerslam for him to win.
Austin Theory def. Dominic Mysterio
Austin Theory cares more about his film than making friends. Wanting to take a selfie with Rei Mysterio, Theory rejected Dominic Mysterio, who did not approve of disrespect, so they decided to solve their problems in the ring.
Mysterio tried to humiliate the daring Theory with a few kicks to the head and a running bulldog along the top rope, but Theory eventually caught Mysterio with ATL to earn a pin.
RK-Bro Retains Raw Tag Team Championship Against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Rode
Dolph Ziggler and Robert Rood didn’t look out of breath in their second match of the night, giving RK-Bro everything they could handle on the first call. Randy Orton and Riddle demonstrated why they are Raw Tag Team Champions with stellar teamwork, but after Ruud pulled his legs off Riddle to collapse onto his apron, The Dirty Dawgs took advantage.
Ultimate Bro finally eluded Rod and tagged Orton, but Snake was quickly subdued after being launched through the barricade into the timekeeper’s area. Ziggler and Road used their teamwork to deliver this to Orton, but they couldn’t keep him for long as he disconnected from the serve hold to tag in Riddle.
An agitated Riddle stormed into the match, devastating Ziggler and Rhode, and looked for the pin before Rud rushed into battle to rescue his partner. However, Road did not see Viper prepare to hit, and he ate RKO, which allowed Riddle to collapse Ziggler to keep the titles.
Seth Rollins survived a grueling Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match to earn a shot at WWE Championship
After the match was played earlier that night, Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens put their bodies at stake for the WWE Big E Championship.
Very accustomed to competing on the stairs, the knockout was the first to raise the stairs, destroying everyone in his path and hammering Balor into it. After Rollins received a super hit, Owens attempted to slay the Drip Seer with a cannonball on the top rope, but Rollins rolled to the side, causing Owens to crash onto the stairs.
Rollins seized the opportunity by lifting the ladder and hitting anything that moved until Balor stumbled and stepped on Rollins, pushing him under the stairs after throwing Owens upstairs. Balor then climbed the stairs, but at the top he was met by Mysterio. The two tried to survive until Owens sent them along with the stairs to the rug.
Owens fought off three other superstars and took the prize in his hands, but Mysterio quickly ran up the stairs to grab his leg and keep him from leaving it. In a rage, Owens slammed Mysterio face down the stairs, rolled out of the ring to deal more damage. He continued to lose the competition until the Rollins diver knocked him down.
The superstars continued to trade blows until all four were spread out on the carpet. Messiah on Monday night was the first to finally fight again, but was met by Balor as they fought outside the ring. Unbeknownst to both members, Mysterio was busy climbing the stairs, almost making it to the top, before Balor swooped in to deny him.
KO then appeared out of nowhere to deliver Stunner to Prince and Mysterio’s huge powerbomb across the table. He wanted to do the same with Rollins, but Rollins changed the situation by flipping Owens over the ropes and sending him crashing down the stairs outside the ring. Rollins then stabbed Balor, leaving the coast clear for the Seer to climb the stairs and get the opportunity.
