Tony Storm and Sasha Banks, def. Charlotte Fleur and Shotzy
After SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was brutally disqualified against Tony Storm last week, Storm has teamed up with Sasha Banks in an extremely tough squabble against the Queen and Shotzy.
The assertive up-and-coming Tony Storm used her elite athletic ability to quickly outflank the SmackDown Women’s Champion!
Viking Raiders def. Ginder Mahal and Shanki
The Vikings raiders defeated Jinder and Shanka in a crushing way after Ivar took to the skies and jumped off the top rope to flatten his opponent and bring the Vikings one step closer to the top of the mountain.
Drew McIntyre retrieved Angel’s stolen sword from Happy Corbin and Mad Moss.
Happy Corbin and Mad Moss stole Angela, Drew McIntyre’s sword still stuck in Adam Pierce’s desk, and made it the centerpiece of the Happy Talk set.
However, when they were unable to get their weapons out of the table, the Scottish Warrior appeared to attack them, bring Angela back and clean the house.
Ridge Holland def. Cesaro
Before his rematch with Cesaro Ridge, Holland took a break from mentor Shamus to attack his inevitable opponent with a shillelag.
In the ensuing bout, the injured Swiss Superman fought with all his might. However, Holland took advantage of the Celtic Warrior’s second distraction to defeat his staunch opponent with Powerslam.
Naomi def. Shaina Basler
Sonya DeVille’s deceitful attempt to kill Naomi went wrong again. When WWE spokesman declared Shaina Basler to be Naomi’s opponent and distracted her opponent, the Queen of Spades attacked the Luminous Superstar from behind.
Although Basler was quick to fix the change early in the match, Naomi was able to flip the table, shift her weight and take the quick count by three.
New day def. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos in the Championship Candidates Match
King Woods and Sir Kofi Kingston took advantage of the official’s failure to see Uso’s tag in a battle between the title contenders en route to their first day title match. As a result, Kofi ended up in Trouble in Paradise, and New Day defeated their longtime rivals en route to the SmackDown Tag Team title match on January 1st.
Roman Reigns fired Paul Hayman and had a fight with Brock Lesnar
The manager returned to SmackDown, extremely unhappy with how things went in his absence. After intensely questioning Paul Hayman about his loyalty, the Head of the Table hugged his Special Council, thanked him for 40 years of serving his family, and then viciously fired him from Relevance Island with a Superman Punch out of nowhere.
However, before he could do more damage to Hayman with a pair of steel chairs, Brock Lesnar appeared. Breaking through Uso in a stunning F-5, the Beast stepped into the ring and hit the Universal Champion in two F-5s specially designed for him.
