Paul Hayman wondered how his career could end after being fired from Roman Reigns.
Still shocked to be fired by universal champion Roman Raines last week, devastated former special adviser Paul Hayman sat down with Kayla Braxton to discuss the incident and ultimately share his understanding that it might be time to acknowledge the end of his career.
Charlotte Flair def. Tony Storm Retains SmackDown Women’s Title
Tony Storm showed incredible heart against the dominant 13-time women’s champion, struggling through an excruciating 8-leg lock to reach the ropes. However, the Queen recovered to turn over the small package to collect the triplets.
Sami Zane won the 12 Days of Christmas match with 12 men in mitts to earn an Intercontinental title match.
Gauntlet results:
Angel def. Mansoor
In the first Gauntlet Match, Angel defeated Mansour with the Wing Clipper.
Angel def. Eric
Angel soon scored a second victory over Eric with another Wing Clipper.
Shanky def. Angel
The huge Schenki became the next superstar to make his presence known in the Gauntlet Match when he threw Angel onto the canvas with incredible force to get one step closer to the chance to win the Intercontinental title.
Ivar def. Shanky
Ivar came next and equalized Shenki with Viking Splash to three.
Sheamus def. Ivar
Sheamus defeated Ivar with a crushing blow from the brog.
Sheamus def. Drew Gulak
In about five seconds, the Celtic Warrior killed Drew Gulak with his second victory in a row with a Brogue Kick.
Sheamus def. Cesaro
Cesaro showed up next to raise the bar, so to speak, and face his old tag teammate and current rival, Sheamus. Ridge Holland’s intervention distracted Cesaro as he followed the neutralizer, and Shimus knocked Swiss Superman down with another terrific punch from Brog.
Ricochet def. Sheamus
Ridge Holland again tried to distract himself to knock Ricochet out of the game, preparing Shimus to knock his opponent off his apron with a knee.
However, when the Celtic warrior returned The Human Highlight Reel to the ring, Cesaro returned to neutralize Holland. This distracted Shamus enough for Ricochet to seize the moment and pull the former WWE champion to victory.
Ricochet def. Umberto
Before Ricochet’s next match, again Umberto, Sheamus hit the former US champion with a pre-match shot by Brog. However, the tenacious Human Highlight Reel recovered, caught his opponent falling off the top rope and overcame the cunning superstar with Recoil.
Ricochet def. Ginder Mahal
Sensing the momentum, Ricochet parried Jinder Mahal’s attack and used his amazing athleticism to counter Hull and quickly outpace the former WWE champion.
Sami Zane, def. Ricochet
In the final duel “12 Days of Christmas” with the participation of 12 people, Ricochet found himself in a battle against Sami Zane.
Ricochet threw himself into Shooting Star only to bump into the waiting knees of the Master Strategist. Zane then finished off his opponent with a Helluva Kick to earn an Intercontinental title match against Shinsuke Nakamura.
Drew McIntyre and New Day, def. Uso and Mad Moss in a six-man team wonder on 34th Street
The addictive match included everything from lollipops to kendo sticks, steel chairs, gifts, Christmas trees, egg legs, and cookie trays with guns (yes, with cookies still on them). Then, with julet-like amusement spread out in all directions, McIntyre finished off Mad Moss with a festive blow from Claymore.
