T20 World Cup 2021: “They have a lot of grafters but lack big-hitters in the side” – Aakash Chopra previews Pakistan’s squad

The former cricketer became an expert Aakash Chopra considers that the concern for the side is the lack of power in the Pakistani strike force.

The 44-year-old believes that Babar Azam’s side has many grafters in its ranks, but that it has a lack of striking power in the middle or lower row.

While the qualifications for the ICC World Championship in men’s competition for 2020-2021 are currently underway, the main tournament will start on October 23 in the UAE. Pakistan’s national team has a great record in the Middle East, winning each of their last 11 T20I games.

Aakash Chopra, while watching the Pakistani team for the World Cup, posted the video on his YouTube channel. You can watch Choprin’s video below:

Praising Pakistan for a good mix of youth and experience from the sidelines, Chopra clarified that they lack a real kick from the sidelines.

“They have a lot of grafters in the strike lineup. Rizwan, Babar, Hafeez. But the only thing missing is striking power. They don’t have players who can hit big blows in deadly strokes like Pollard or Andrea Russell.”

The former Indian opener also believes that the greatest strength of the men in Green lies in their bowling unit. Chopra mentioned that captain Babar Azam will have different choices in bowling.

“Their bowling unit is good. They have a lot of those spinning all their strength. Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik can also bowling.

“Spinners will be very useful on these surfaces. Their greatest strength lies in their bowling unit with pacemakers like Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali,” Chopra said.

The two teams will meet each other on October 24 in the first match of Group 2 in the Super 12 T20 World Cup.

In his video, Chopra predicted the finalists of the tournament and said:

“Pakistan will definitely at least get into the semi-finals of the tournament. I have a feeling it will be repeated in the 2007 World Cup final. I think India and Pakistan can meet again in the final this time.”
