As the WWE Universe prepares for this pivotal event, editors come up with their own epic predictions as to who will hiss on SummerSlam! Presented by Cricket Wireless. Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at SummerSlam? Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. John Cena (Preview)
MIKE BERDICK: Roman Raines thinks he can beat what he doesn’t see. John Cena knows he will defeat what he has seen in countless battles before. “Champion is gone” after beating the table leader and claiming his historic 17th world championship.

STEVE BARIL: Have you seen the last year that Roman Reigns went through? John Cena may actually be a GOAT, but he is now entering the Head of the Table territory and the 16-time world champion will be forced to admit him when SummerSlam is all said and done.

JOHN CHICK: It’s been a long time since Cena could be considered a conscientious outsider, but he excelled in that role as he won championship after championship and largely dominated the WWE. As he said, all he has to do is keep 1-2-3. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg (Preview)
BERDICK: Goldberg has proven over and over that he is a real warrior. However, all the great achievements of the WWE Hall of Fame will not help him against the ruthless powerhouse that is the Almighty.

BARIL: Everyone thought Goldberg was overlooked when he first returned to fight Brock Lesnar in 2016, and look how that turned out. Having missed the elusive WWE Championship at Royal Rumble earlier this year, Goldberg is hungrier than ever, and it could very well take “Almighty” Bobby Lashley by surprise when they finally clash.

CHICK: Over the past year, Lashley has ruled the red brand with an iron fist and trampled down his Raw Superstars with ruthless efficiency. Despite all his accolades, Goldberg is only competing in his second match of 2021, so it’s unlikely he’ll be able to oust the Almighty WWE Champion. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks (Preview)
BERDICK: EST in WWE has been undergoing an incredible leap since claiming their title, and at the conclusion of an incredible rematch, WrestleMania’s story will eventually repeat itself at SummerSlam with Bianca defeating The Boss again.

BARIL: EST in WWE is arguably the best year of all WWE superstars. She has proven she can beat Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania, and Bianca Belair will do it again on the biggest stage of the summer.

CHICK: Did you see the look in Sasha’s eyes when she brutally attacked Bianca and trapped her in a bank statement a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown? Banks was once again a ruthless competitor, completely obsessed with reaching the top … the best version of The Boss. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

Raw Women’s Champion Nikki Ash vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair (Preview)
BERDICK: SummerSlam can witness Charlotte Fleur’s greatest manifestation throughout this open to all match. For Nikki ASH, this could be “almost a victory”. However, once the smoke clears, the epic Triple Threat Match will prove to be a nightmare for both the Queen and the upbeat title holder.

BARIL: She’s almost a superhero for a reason. Nikki Ash knows how to get justice in the end, and Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair going head-to-head could cancel both of them, leading to Nikki retaining her title.

CHICK: Triple Threat matches are all it takes to be opportunistic and timing to strike, and no one does it better than Charlotte Fleur. Plus, the Queen is invincible at SummerSlam because of course she lost. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

Edge vs. Seth Rollins (Preview)
BERDICK: An R-rated superstar knows how to win. He returned from the impossible to compete again and now he is set to defeat the “Drip Seer” for bringing him the universal title.

BARIL: There’s no question that Edge has proven that he can still walk with the best of them since he got back into the ring, but Seth Rollins is downright pissed. He feels he deserves to be next in line for the Universal Championship opportunity, and he’s not about to let Edge be on his way to the top of the WWE again.

CHICK: How else can you say that? Edge is fighting for his life this Saturday. Rollins has threatened to end his career, and the R-rated Superstar is always the most dangerous when cornered. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

Alexa Bliss vs. Eva Marie (Preview)
BERDICK: Look, Eve is amazing, Dowdrop is awesome. None of them compare to the mystical abilities of Alexa Bliss or her dangerous doll Lilly.

BARIL: The time for mind games is over … but they will probably continue. Once Eva Marie finally comes face to face with Aleca Bliss, she won’t have a single chance, physically or mentally.

CHICK: Even before she switched to the dark side, Bliss was a titled champion, a cunning manipulator and would do anything to win. Now that she uses supernatural powers and receives help from her Lilly doll, she is nearly impossible to stop. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

Raw Tag Team Champions A.J. Styles and Omos vs. Randy Orton and Riddle (Preview)
BERDICK: RK-Bro will finally have an answer to Omos’ own personalized AJ Styles Colossus, leaving Phenomenal vulnerable to the three most dangerous letters in WWE … RKO!

BARIL: Riddle defeated AJ Styles. Randy Orton beat A.J. Stiles. All RK-Bro has to do is somehow isolate Omos and exclude him from the equation. If they find a way to do this, new Raw Tag Team champions will be crowned.

CHIK: Given Snake’s ability to make friends and partners, who can tell how long RK-Bro will last? But whether Orton wants to admit it or not, the two have great chemistry in the ring and the alliance must last long enough to win the championship on Saturday. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

US Champion Sheamus vs. Damian Priest (Preview)
BERDICK: It’s time for the Archer of Shame to take his rightful place at the top of the mountain, toppling the Celtic warrior in a battle that will surely be bitter.

BARIL: Archer of dishonor has mastered Brog’s Strike. If he can fulfill it, it also means that he can see it from a mile away. Priest awaits his day of reckoning and will become the new US champion.

CHICK: Okay, when do we start to mention Brog’s Punch as one of the most devastating finishing moves in WWE history? Like, it’s easy to get into the top five. Against most opponents, Priest will likely come close to his first WWE title, but when it comes to Celtic Warrior, all it takes is one well-timed brog hit to get to #AndStill territory. Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal (Preview)
BERDICK: No henchmen left to help him. Not a single sword was cast out. Never! McIntyre is going to run right into the Modern Maharaj.

BARIL: No Vir. No Shenki. No one to help Ginder Mahal means Drew McIntyre brandishes his mighty sword Angela all the way to the ring for this, but he won’t have to use it. Just one nimble Claymore has to do the job for the Scottish Warrior.

CHICK: All of Jinder’s chances of upsetting his former bandmate flew out the window when Drew banned Vir and Schenki from entering the ring. Plus, who can even interfere with the game when their opponent is in possession of Excalibur? Predictions: Who Will Win SummerSlam?

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. Mysterios (Preview)
BERDICK: Mysterios made history as the first father and son of team champions. However, recently, Dominic has shown that he is too inexperienced to help his legendary father surpass the well-oiled machine that Uso is for the second reign. The pedigree will be here.

BARIL: Lightning won’t strike twice for Rey and Dominic Mysterio. Some small misunderstandings lately have not solved the problem on the SummerSlam scene, and The Usos are just on a different level right now. The SmackDown Tag Team Titles remain with The Bloodline.

CHICK: The fact that Mysterios became the first father-son duo to win Team Gold in WWE was an amazing sight for everyone who witnessed it, but they’ve only been getting together for a few months. Meanwhile, Usos have been the most dominant tag team in the WWE for over a decade (yes, it has been that long).
