Kyle O’Reilly outlasts Adam Cole in barbaric war of attrition

[ad_1]

After both bitter rivals left behind only absolute devastation, Kyle O’Reilly ultimately defeated his ex-brother Undisputed ERA Adam Cole in an ultra-destructive co-main event never seen before in NXT.

The unauthorized match was pure brutality from start to finish. Fighting inside and outside the ring, with both men using ringside gates, numerous steel chairs, low blows, steel ring posts, ring rungs, chains, and the dangerous contents of a toolbox in the most insane way.

Cole primarily focused his attack on a pre-existing neck injury in his cohort, including pushing O’Reilly off the top rope onto the ring floor and into his injured area. But whatever he threw at him, O’Reilly fired back violently in his quest for redemption, oblivious to the humanity of either his opponent or himself.

In one spectacular moment, the battle at the top of the bulletin board ended with O’Reilly placing a monstrous suplex that caused Cole to bounce off the surface. Seconds later, Cole responded by hitting O’Reilly in the face with the TV.

Even the referee was not safe. When the officer got in the way of Cole, the enraged superstar also killed him, which worked against him when he was unable to successfully hold O’Reilly moments later and caused him to chide the unconscious referee.

With carnage at every corner, the match continued outside the ring, and when O’Reilly blocked the guillotine on the ramp, Cole continued to chase his opponent across the steel floor. Then he lifted O’Reilly onto the steel steps.

Back in the ring, the gruesome action continued to unfold as both superstars did the incredible trying to finish off the other.

Finally, while in the midst of the fight, Cole was holding his enemy on the top rope, O’Reilly suddenly stabbed below the belt to give Cole a try on his own medicine. He then wrapped the chain around his leg, jumped onto Cole’s neck, and pushed him across the chair to get the pin.

Kyle O’Reilly may have sold his soul to the Undisputed ERA. But at Stand & Deliver, he used the malice of an unsanctioned match to buy it out with a vengeance.
