Goldberg reissued his SummerSlam challenge to WWE champion Bobby Lashley
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP started Raw to try and convince Goldberg to change his mind about confronting Almighty, but it didn’t have to be. The WWE Hall of Fame has been reborn with more enthusiasm than ever to announce that Lashley is, in fact, next up at SummerSlam.
As Goldberg left the ring, the WWE champion and MVP hoped to meet Goldberg’s son, Gage, and the WWE Hall of Fame didn’t take him too kindly, putting on an expressive lance for the MVP.
Drew McIntyre, def. Vir and Schenki due to disqualification in a handicap match
This time, Ginder Mahal laid down the deck against Drew McIntyre as the Scottish Warrior fought Vir and Schenki in a handicap match. It didn’t take long for the Mahal to join the attack, which resulted in disqualification and further increased McIntyre’s strength. As Mahal and his companions lined up on steel chairs, McIntyre reacted broadly, picking up a mighty sword he named Angela after his mother, forcing the formidable trio to retreat.
Rhea Ripley def. Nia Jax
In hopes of a big win ahead of SummerSlam, former Raw Women’s Champion Ray Ripley fought head-to-head with Nia Jax. Shayna Basler wanted to help her partner, but it backfired, forcing Ripley to use Force Majeure to win.
After the match, tensions between Jax and Basler almost reached a boiling point, but Nightmare decided to make a final statement at Jax’s expense in the form of a huge Riptide.
MACE & T-BAR def. Mansour and Mustafa Ali
Mansour and Mustafa Ali set out to re-capture the magic in a second performance as a tag team tasked with a rematch against the powerful MACE & T-BAR. Mansour and the hero from Ali’s hometown made another impressive effort, but this time MACE & T-BAR proved to be overwhelming for them. After T-BAR defeated Mansour with a furious disc, Ali scolded his partner, only to turn around and be on the side of the Supreme Justice.
Tamina def. Doudrop
Together with her partner Natalia, recovering from surgery, WWE women’s champion Tamina went into singles against Dudrop, Eva Marie’s powerhouse. After a grueling duel, Tamina made a thunderous Samoan drop to defeat Dudrop, much to Eva Marie’s dismay.
However, Alexa Bliss and Lilly seemed to thoroughly enjoy the result, as Bliss proudly declared Eve a loser after the fight.
Damian Priest def. John Morrison
Initially intending to formally challenge US champion Shamus, Damian Priest turned his attention to Miz and John Morrison during a tumultuous exchange on Miz TV. The result was a match in which the Archer of Infamy faced the Wet Wanted of America, in which Priest was victorious after sending Morrison south of Heaven.
Damian Priest and Ricochet def. Shamus and John Morrison
US Champion Sheamus wanted to cash in quickly by attacking Damian Priest after his victory over John Morrison, which resulted in Ricochet breaking onto the stage to level the playing field. This led to an impromptu team match in which Priest & Ricochet gel prevailed after Priest defeated Morrison again, this time with Retribution.
Omos def. Mystery
Riddle jumped over the colossal Raw Tag Team Champion Omos to start this match, it took every attack he could land to try and earn a win. Omos was too strong for the Primordial Bro, downing him with a crushing two-handed Chokslam to achieve a dominant victory.
Keith Lee def. Carrion Cross
NXT champion Carrion Cross had intended to make Keith Lee fall and pray for the second week in a row, but Lee had other plans. The two men went to war in yet another tough fight, but this time Lee was able to hit his patented Spirit Bomb against the current NXT champion on his way to a massive rebound victory.
Reggie def. Akira Tozawa in the 24/7 championship match
After successfully defending his 24/7 championship against R-Truth and Chad Gable last week, Reggie returned to him, this time against former champion Akira Tozawa. In another impressive performance, the acrobatics champion used every drop of agility and agility in his arsenal to defeat Tozawa and remain 24/7 champion.
Raw Women’s Champion Nikki ASH def. Charlotte Fleur in a match without rules
After Charlotte Flair earlier that night vowed to destroy Nikki Ash to the point where she might not even make it to SummerSlam, Almost a Superhero has proven herself in a big fight against the Queen. The Raw Women’s Champion battled Flair head-to-head in a brutal, no-limit match that culminated in Flair dashing across the table and ASH hitting the suplex with a rope to finally take a one-on-one victory over an 11-time win.
