Colossal superstar will challenge Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American title on Night 2 at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on Thursday.
By qualifying for the six-man Gauntlet Eliminator and an impressive performance at last week’s Battle Royal on the NXT, Reed brought momentum to TakeOver’s first night. In addition to showing off his signature strength, Reed also showed impressive endurance at distance, last knocking out Isaiah “Swerve” Scott with a tsunami surge after finishing third.
One would have thought the champion would lick his chops at the thought of facing the enemy one night after such a grueling ordeal. But Gargano has been complaining about the “unfair” situation since NXT general manager William Regal announced the match.
