How to fix Windows Update error KB4535680?

It is possible, however, if you are technically savvy, to accomplish this by following these steps:
1. As soon as you click Start, start typing “services.msc” onto your keyboard.
2. There should be a result for “services.msc” in your search results. You can open it by clicking on it.
3. It will open a new window containing a list of all Windows services that are currently running on your computer.
4. In the search box, type in “Windows Update”
5. Then, right-click the “Windows Update” and then click the “Stop” button on the menu that appears.

It is now time to clean the temporary cache folder for Windows Update:

1. Press the windows-key and the “R” key simultaneously.
2. There will be a small new window appearing on your screen.
3. In this new window, type %windir%/SoftwareDistribution/DataStore and click the OK button to close it.

2. In your search results, cmd should appear with a black icon next to it.
3. Right-click the file and select Run as administrator from the menu that appears.
4. As soon as you are prompted for the administrator’s password, enter it and click the OK button.
5. In the next few seconds, a completely black window will open up. In this window, you will be able to type commands directly into it.
6. Press the Enter key and type sfc/scannow into the command line.
7. It will take a long time for this process to be completed. This black window can be minimized and you can work on it while it is minimized.
After a time, come back to the black window and check if the process has been completed.
As soon as the SFC process has completed, restart your computer as soon as possible. You will have to search for Updates again after restarting your computer.
